Xejukan Wilds

Considered one of the most dangerous regions in the world thanks to it's very rough climate and unforgiving nature, it is nearly completly unexplored and thus subject of countless legends and myths.-An Enaskian Scholar.
Geography
The Xejukan Wilds is a large region of north-western Mahador that is covered in dense jungles and covered by thousands of lakes, ponds and rivers. Most of the region is relatively flat with isolated clusters of hills. The Golcaï river to the west, the floating mountains to the north, the Tacanual and Mazewy mountains to the south, and the Illynian sea to the east form its borders. The Hydrask Isles are often considered to be an insular extension of the region.
Climate
The region is hot and humid all year round, with little seasonal variation thanks to its proximity to the equator. Weak thunderstorms in the afternoon are common place throughout the year. Hurricanes occasionaly hit the Hydrask Isles and the basilisk coast during the summer and the fall. The east of the region is more humid and rainy, while the west is hotter and slightly dryer as it transitions into the region known as the Ayoxal.
Fauna & Flora
The biodiversity of the Xejukan wilds region cannot be overstated. Both in terms of fauna and flora, the region hold be biggest amount of recorded species in the entire world, with reptiles being the most dominant type of animals found, as they be found in every environment of the region. Many famous species, like the Wyverns, Hydrask, Occomors, crocodiles, and various types of smaller lizards like iguanas and geckos inhabit.
Mammals are also numerous here, with jaguars being the most well known. Other types of critters, like enomous snakes like the Noh'kan Snakes, as well as swarms of piranhas and electric eel populate the countless rivers and lakes of the region, as do thousands of other species. Likewise, the region's tall trees are inhabited by many different species of birds, most notably the sacred the beautiful Ajax, sacred to the local Ak'aarans.
Finaly, with the region being so hot and humid, it is also home many different types of plants and trees. Emandine Trees, Noxshroom Trees and Milk Tree are just some of the incredibly varied flora found in the Xejukan wilds.
Natural Resources
Emandine wood and Milk sap, called Milkfire are the most sought after ressources from this region. Gold is also abundantly found in the rivers and streams flowing from the floating mountains. However, none of those ressources can be easily exploited, especialy in large quantities, both became of the isolation of the region, and the dangerous local fauna and flora.
Tourism
Since there is no permanent human presence in this region of the world, very little information is known about these animals or the region they live in. However, that doesn't seem to stop a few foreign explorers who decide every year to go in and explore, in an attempt to map the region, discover riches, and bring back trophies. Most never make it back.
