Kender

Origins

Much like the goblins can be elevated to Verdan, Gnomes that impress Quetminook can be made into Kender. While the Goblins are more focused on theory, it is the Gnomes' practical applications that often draw the attention of the god of magic. Many of the challenges that Verdan face, such as high expectations, pressure to succeed, and big ideas can also apply to Kender. They can also be born to gnomish parents in similar circumstances to Verdan and Goblins.

Regions

Kender are found anywhere gnomes can be found, so they are mostly in Harkinmont and in the Great Jungle of Gerule.

Stereotypes

Stereotype	Why this Stereotype Exists
Kender are excellent with artifice.	While some are elevated due to their proficiency as an artificer, others are honored for their work outside of grease and gears.
Kender like to steal things.	The curiosity of a Kender is not to be underestimated. Often, they see an object and want to know how it works. Often, this desire overwhelms their common sense, and they end up walking off with the item. Their intent is not to steal, but to understand.
Kender have a strong desire to wander.	The desire that drives many Kender to exploration is not wanderlust, but rather a desire to discover new materials for their work. One never knows what they may stumble across or how it may affect their past, present, or future projects.
