S1 Session XIII: Something is afoot... Report

Kosmos and Caroline end up drinking with Sid, late into the evening. Kosmos just having won decently big in fight club is buying rounds for him and Sid as they made a pact, for Sid to answer questions and for Kosmos to help him acquire a person named Geralt. They relocate to another bar as the resturaunt they had been in is readying itself for patrons.   In the new bar with its clean lines, LED-like tube lighting and clean as a hospital operation room vibes, the three enter, and are met with a place with uniquely colored drinks, and a smaller clientele. Caroline and Kosmos both see Harley and a cloaked figure in the corner chatting. Kosmos orders himself and Sid a drink, that is a ddep purple faded to a turquoise blue with a teal foam, with a crimson spear with a blue slug on it in the drink. Upon drinking the drink, Kosmos gains True Sight for a little while, and is effectively very drunk. He sees Harley exchange something for a liquid to be added to a vial she wears around her neck.   Caroline overhears a conversation that doesn't match the lip movements and moves closer to get what is actually being discussed as two water genasi enter the bar and Sid got really quiet. She learns that there is a blight of sorts on the crop and that there is currently no investigation on what is going on, and has the mental thoughts of -- zombie fungus, maybe it spread. returning to the group after the pair leaves, Harley makes her way to the group and sees a drunk Kosmos and offers to help. Caroline accepts, and Harley polymorphs Kosmos into a housecat, easy to be carried down the road to an inn. Caroline talks to Harley about the potential job and Harley says she will send Jonathan Ro and Najda to the importers of the crops in question, and she will talk to the political leader. The others were told to...resolve whatever it was with Sid.   Caroline had a dream. She was in the dark, and then wandered to a pool, then was almost pulled in, but was attacked...or started to be attacked by a creeping black vine, so she stepped in the pool, since it seemed like the lesser of 2 evils. She was met with a vision of chains. with runes on them, and saw a cloaked figure chained up a ways away, and a black shadow slam down on the figure jolting her awake.   Caroline and Kosmos meet Clancey near the graveyard and Kosmos manages to track down Sid with the pact magic, and they wander in on him buying a scroll, that Clancey recognizes. On their way to track down Verve and Koal, they stop for sticky buns where Clancey convinced Sid to let him see the scroll, which turned out to be Sigilan's Star Chart. Caroline holds it and gets a rush of arcane knowledge that overwhelms her, and she helps Clancey make a forgery to give back to Sid.   Side note: Clancey did not give his name to Sid. Sid calls him Fred.
