Janeth Brightsong
(a.k.a. The Great Inquisitor)
The third queen of the Kingdom of Solis, she is known for giving the church more power after the death of her mother at the academy and assigning guilds as governing bodies of the duchies to even the scales of social and economic power held by Strixhaven Academy. These reforms gave the public more control over their respective lands through representation.
She also founded the Inquisition with fellow faithful, bolstered by the academy's technological breakthroughs. This endeavor was meant to improve relations between the two institutions. However, as she became more involved in the inquisition's modus operandi and her private research into the origins of the rift, the organization quickly turned into her own personal project. A private military with religious fanatics who would abuse their power for years.
After the largest rift ever recorded was destroyed in the Dukedom of Arvum, after a long 20 day seige led by Janeth herself, she went missing with a detachment of high inquisitors. After her daughter took the throne, the inquisition was reorganized as an order of holy knights under the church's perview called The Brotherhood. All former members either disappeared with the queen or in the weeks later during the reorganization.
