Glomingard
The capitol of the Dukedom of Arvum and home to many notable figures and institutions.
Government
Glomingard is primarily ruled by Duke Grove as the absolute pinacle of authority in the entire Dukedom of Arvum barring the Brightsong Royal Family. Although there is a council within the city, they act more as advisors withthe duke having final say of all matters.
Defences
Ballistae dot the city walls and the duke's army is over a hundred men strong. The duke himself has defended Glomingard on many occasions with his natural connection to the land and all primal forces within it.
Industry & Trade
Glomingard itself has no exports, it is primarily a go-between Arvum and the rest of the kingdom and imports a lot of goods from all around. A lot of the food supply in the kingdom comes from the region, and taxing the commerce and transportation of those goods provides a steady supply of funds for the city.
Infrastructure
The city is built over the ruins of an ancient dwarven stronghold mountain, there are still remanenets left around and protected by the historical society of Strixhaven Academy. A maze-like laberynth lies beneath the city closed off to the public because of the casualties suffered from Adventurer's Guild expeditions and unstable architecture.
The city is surrounded by walls made from a mixture of lumber and naturally grown roots from Cor Naturae. Buildings within range from wodden houses to brick and stone buildings.
Guilds and Factions
Glomingard is home to many of the well-known factions in the kingdom, such as Strixhaven Academy, Adventurer's Guild, Church of Axion, and the various Merchant Guilds.
