The Modern Creation Mythos

In the beginning there was only The Eternal Elemental Sea and within it two Elemental Beings. The Light and The Darkness. They were in a constant state of war, fighting over control of the Elemental Sea, without ever touching each other.

When they collided for the first time, part of their essence fused and created the plane of Caltora, as well as the first gods, Arnu, the god of magic, Balashmir, the guardian of the planes, and Ishgala, the goddess of life.
Arnu and Ishgala are generally described as the father and mother of the other gods respectively, while Balashmir takes on a secondary role.

Arnu and Ishgala created the Astral Plane. There they lived and with many children. As the family was all alone, they also created a perfect partner for each of their children.

Most gods were satisfied and live without interacting with creatures outside the Astral Plane, but some gods still felt empty, as there was no use for them, no one that needed them. So they created many more planes, some have survived, some have merged and many were lost.
Finally, the gods in the pantheon of the Elemental Gods banded together and created the people of Caltora in their respective image.
Most found their home on Caltora, mainly on the continent of Aragria.
