Cantre'r Gwaelod

Cantre'r Gwaelod is now the largest body of water within Awen. It was created when the Awenian Mountain rose tall from Awen to separate Swyn Coed from Caerdinstr's lands. This body of water has more magical properties than anyone has yet to discover, although most of its magic seems to be contained to the main lake of Cantre'r Gwaelod. Three rivers run from the centre and connect most lands of Awen together, these rivers are used as transport, water supply and even used to build a better spiritual and magical connection with Awen and the magic of Calonnau Amlhau.

The magic that comes off the water of Cantre'r Gwaelod in intoxicating to those sensitive to such things and many have spent years dedicating their lives to the water and its magics. Thankfully however the people of Swyn Coed have dedicated their own lives to protecting the purity of the waters and have stopped anyone from going mad from the intoxicating magics that they hold.

Something that has yet to be understood about the Cantre'r Gwaelod is its connection to the fairy realm where the Tylwyth Teg live.
