The Bazaar

In the center of Menzoberranzan lies this 750-foot-wide circle of bare bedrock, on which there is a crowded, untidy labyrinth of stalls. Unlike other marketplaces you've encountered the place isn't filled with the noise of merchants trying to peddle their wares or people chatting about, instead the place is oddly quiet, as drow commoners go quietly about their business, heads down and hoods drawn. Drow patrols, riding on giant lizards, brutally stamp down anything that resembles theft or looting, with whips, fists, and torture.   Moving through the Bazar appearing to be anything other than drow or slaves in the company of its drow master, will call the attention of any patrol that might see them who will call for reinforcements, which will arrive in 1d4 rounds. These reinforcements consist of 3d4 drow on foot and 2d4 giant spiders that scuttle down from nearby rooftops. Patrols in the Bazaar concist of 2 drow mounted on giant riding lizards.
