Flashgate
The Flashgate is a shadowgate located under the waters of Lake Vash, in the Lake Ward of Aldis. It is known to activate when struck by lightning, occasionally disgorging creatures of Shadow, and is therefore kept under constant guard by the Aldin City Watch.
The Flashgate was activated by a lightning strike on 17 Gaeleth 320, releasing several unusually powerful creatures of Shadow which were promptly defeated by a previously-unknown group of adventurers.
