Age of Ancients

The earliest known era of the world. Most knowledge about it comes from folktales.

    The titans fuse the planes together. The half of the world closer to its origin becomes unstable and chaotic, forming the sea that would one day be called the New World.

    The Titans use various means to create life, giving birth to the first giants, dragons.

    The titans wage a brutal and devastating war on each other that lasts 1 million years, resulting in their extinction. From their corpses spring the beginnings of life that would eventually develop into most lifeforms.

    The intelligent mortals of the early world develop tools, writing, language and society.

    The First Outsiders Appear

    The first beings from the worlds beyond make contact with the dwellers of the Primordial Sea.

    In the Old World, the first castles are being built and iron is widely available. Creatures from the Old World often consider this the dawn of history. The beginnings of the Old Empires are also here.

  • The 10,000,000th year of the Age of Ancients
    The Great Kingdom Forms

    The elves of Pangea, the merfolk, dragons of Ryoukuni, giants of Jotunburg, tabaxi of Heartis and various other New World civilisations join together to create a mighty alliance of nations focused on aiding one another in scientific progress and achieving personal freedoms. The elven nation is raised into the sky to serve as an emissary to other nations.

The Forgotten Age

A period of time modern scholars know nothing about. Began at an unclear time and ended with the discovery of the Primordial Sea known as the New World.

    A whole shitload of lost history happens
    Miscellaneous

    An a bunch of events occur, their dates unknown. These events include:

    • The Great Kingdom collapses, brought low by a group who would later become the Board of the New World Trading Company
    • The elven capital falls into the sea, right at a key position of the New World. Pangea is built on top of it.
    • The elves are almost wiped out. In the aftermath of the cataclysm, elves can no longer remember their past lives.
    • The demons are unleashed from their prison at the bottom of the sea.
    • A curse is placed on the Great Kingdom's language so that none can read it via magic.
    • The metallic dragon dynasty of Ryoukuni is supplanted, plunging the island into a warring states period that lasts until Takhesis quells it during the Age of Discovery. The gemstone dragons use their telekinesis to lift their province into the sky.
    • Palanquin is built and then slowly crumbles over time.
    • The Board and their Mysterious Leader^tm found the New World Trading Company
    • The Old Empires start to decline (not out of any fuckery, just normal decadence)
    • The former shogun of Ryoukuni settles in Aivorab for a time, discovers the amber Temple and vows to protect it before it floods and his forces are destroyed by the Board.
    • The giants created goliaths.
    • A city is constructed on the back of a giant turtle, Taniwha, which later falls to ruin.
    • The New World is discovered by Old World denizens at the end of the Forgotten Age.

Age of Discovery

An age that began with the discovery of the primordial sea by the mortals born on the far side of the world (humans, dwarves, etc). Ended with the discovery of the other side of the Primordial Sea by Edward Newgate

  • Year 1 of the Age of Discovery
    Discovery of the New World
    Discovery, Exploration

    The New World is explored for the first time by a human man named James Harlock. Up until then it was believed that the horizon that could be seen from the shores of the New World was the edge of the world, or that it simply extended forever. Harlock was the first to discover land and life beyond the horizon.

  • 199th Year of the Age of Discovery
    Elizabeth Rochelieu becomes a Vampire
    Life, Milestone

    Elizabeth Rochelieu, a former member of the Board, murders her sister, husband and sons in a violent rage, drinking their blood and becoming a vampire. Old Ed resurrects her husband as a revenant. A witch in one of the towns prophesies that Elizabeth can only be killed by lovers' hands.

    Jira rampages, killing his clan
    Life, Trauma/ Loss

    Jira runs wild at the victory celebration of the ending of centuries of war by his own hands, killing clan members and going into exile.

  • Year 493 of the Age of Discovery
    Edward 'Fannybaws' Newgate recieves his first wanted poster
    Life, Publicity

    The pirate who jokingly refers to himself as Fannybaws makes his debut, sacking a major town without firing a single shot.

Age of Piracy

The current Age that began with the execution of Edward Newgate

  • Year 498 of the Age of Discovery
    Newgate becomes Pirate King
    Discovery, Exploration

    'Fannybaws' returns from his longest voyage having seen what lies on the other side of the New World and is dubbed the Pirate King. The New World Trading Company places the largest bounty in recorded history on his head.
