Ser Robyn Ryswell is a knight of
House Ryswell, the first northman to serve in the Kingsguard, Robyn has served under King Daemon I Blackfyre and King Aemon I Blackfyre.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
As is appropriate for one whose main duty is fight for and defend the royal family, Ser Ryswell trains often, keeping himself in great shape is a consequence of said training regime.

Unlike many northmen Robyn keeps his face clean shaven.

Ser Robyn is rarely seen out of his iconic suit of armour, a set of enameled white steel armour, complete with a gaudy warhelm in the shape of a horse's head.

He spent most of his earlier life at the Rylls with his siblings, at age 11 he was sent to Barrowton to act as a page to Lord Roderick Dustin.
Sexuality
As fitting for a knight of the Kingsguard, Ser Robyn maintains a chaste life and is not known to chase women, focusing instead on his charge, Prince Daemon, and his other duties.
Education
Robyn was taught by a maester since very young, and learned to fight with his older brother Lord Robett, and later was taught of chivalry and knightly ways by Lord Jaime Lannister
Employment
After a good performance at the tourney of Casterly Rock, Robyn was taken as a squire by Lord Jaime Lannister, serving as his squire for two years, he left Lannister service at the start of the Falseborn invasion, being afterwards taken into the service of King Daemon I Blackfyre, he was knighted by the king himself and chosen by Prince Daemon Blackfyre as his sworn shield. After the death of Lord Commander Gwayne Corbray, Robyn was selected to join the Kingsguard.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Robyn performed well enough to catch the eye of Lord Jaime Lannister at the tourney of Casterly Rock, besting two more experienced anointed knights, and giving a good show against Ser Garrison Prester.
He was knighted by king Daemon I Blackfyre for the bravery and loyalty he showed in the Falseborn Invasion.
During the final battle of the Falseborn Invasion in the Kingswood Robyn fought in the vanguard under the command of Prince Daemon Blackfyre, during the battle he slew in personal combat the traitorous Lord Whiterayne, one of Maekar's chief commanders.
Became the first northern to be part of the Kingsguard.
Fought alongside Prince Daemon Blackfyre in the defense of the city of King's Landing against the rebel lord Stevron Vance, where he and Prince Daemon manned the walls and held the line against the rebelling forces, despite wounds to himself.
During the tourney of the Coronation of King Aemon I Blackfyre, Ryswell unhorsed Lord Jaime Lannister before being unhorsed by the eventual champion, a mystery knight.
Slew multiple slavers in the defense of Prince Daemon when the galley they were on was boarded on the way to Lys.
At the tourney of Alexandra Redwyne's wedding in 209, Robyn unhorsed Prince Daemon Blackfyre and Lord Gilbert Redwyne and became the champion after defeating Ser Symond Selmy. He crowned princess Joanna Lannister as the queen of love and beauty.
Defeated King Aemon I Blackfyre and his friend Lord Nicholas Mordvig at the melee of tourney of Starpike, before being defeated by the eventual champion, Prince Aenys Blackfyre.

Robyn has, from a very early age, decided that his driving goal in life is to be the greatest knight he can be, not merely in skill at arms but in chivalrous conduct, and in achieving that, be named to be part of the Kingsguard.

Robyn abhors traveling by ship and avoids it if at all possible, he doesn't flinch from doing it if ordered however.

Contacts & Relations
Robyn is good friends with Nicholas Mordvig, the lord of the Dreadfort, both men having met on the entourage sent to King's Landing by the regent of the North in 201.
After serving Jaime Lannister as his squire for two years at Casterly Rock both men developed a good rapport.
Robyn has a very close friendship with the Prince of Summerhall, Daemon Blackfyre, with both men having formed a fast and strong bond even before Robyn was appointed to Kingsguard and the pair only became closer after he was assigned to be his bodyguard, being seldom seen away from each other.
Family Ties
Robyn's brother is Lord Robett Ryswell of the Rylls, his older sister is married to Lord Flint of Flint's Fingers. Due to his vows as a Kingsguard he is not allowed to take a wife nor have children himself.
Religious Views
Never a man of great religious zeal, Robyn has studied and followed for most of his life the customs of the Old Gods of the North, though after visiting South he started following the Faith of the Seven, even if only to be a better knight.
