Level 2 Village
This small village, tucked away in a valley among forests and mountains, was the final destination of Hardik Tarden and his group of religious refugees escaping the civil war of the Four Kingdoms.
The central features of the vale is the falls to the east that feed the river that passes through the middle, a singular large hill overlooking the valley where the temple of Valdin sits, and a series of large stones set along the boundary between valley floor and treeline of the forests.
History lesson of Warden Kydon Phar, Priest of Valden Over 200 years ago Harland Tarden, guided by our god Valdin, the Shield Master, led his followers, our very families, from the fall of the Empire through the wild lands. For years they followed Tarden’s vision. There were many trials. Many died. And when all had near lost all hope, even Harland himself, they were delivered unto Valdin’s beacon. It is here, in this valley, where Harland and our ancestors made their new home. For years, they would brave the deep woods that surround us, searching for the timber and stone they needed to build the homes we now have. For years struggling to tame the land into the fields that now feed us. Years driving away the night beasts until Valdin bestowed his blessings and gave us the prayers to carry his light to our stone sentinels each night to keep the evil of the dark at bay. While Valdin has seen fit to deliver travelers and traders to our home, we take humble appreciation in the wares and supplies they provide us, while remaining steadfast that no new lord, king, nor emperor offers us anything that Valdin does not already provide, but threatens to take all that we have built here.
