Beryn Vellum
The 2nd oldest son of the Vellum family, Orion's next older brother. Beryn was a popular personality around town with a sharp inquisitive mind and a strong desire to help others succeed. He never voiced any desire to be more or do more than to eventually take over the family farm.
In his 17th year, he fell ill with a wasting condition that could not be cured, and after several weeks, he passed. He was mourned by the village, but no more so than by his parents and siblings.
