Samryn

Samryn

Samryn is a legendary, infamous criminal from the mainland of Ayrath. He has one of the most successful criminal careers of anyone in the criminal underworld, and the greater population of Ayrath expected him to continue his life of crime into old age, never getting caught, since he was simply that good. However, in the year 1317 PTE, at the age of 42, Samryn was found dead in his manor on the isolated island named Desolai Island. Some think he died of natural causes while other suspect foul play, but everyone believes that his riches are hidden somewhere on the island.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Samryn is known to be in incredible physical condition, able to pull off incredibly physical feats during his various plots and schemes. Some believe he uses magic or substances to maintain such an extreme physical form, although nobody can say for certain.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Not much is known about Samryn's young years, but he originally began to catch the interest of the public -and the law- when he managed to rob a privately owned bank in one of the largest cities in Ayrath of the entirety of their supply of coins entirely on his own. That was back in 1291 PTE. Since, he has continued his crime streak for the past 26 years, constantly one-upping his accomplishments, even managing to rob the Elven Royal Family back in 1314. However, not everything he does is in his personal interest- he's also known for supporting various types of black market science such as genetic modification nd the creation of entierly new lifeforms.

Sexuality

It is said by those Samryn ahs worked with that he doesn't develop any sort of significant attatchment to people, including romantic attraction, but there are also rumors that he and his right hand man, Lerkyl, have been in a serious long-term relationship for over two decades.

Education

It's unknown what level of education Samryn was able to achieve before his life of crime, but its heavily likely he recieved some level of academics considering his vast intellect that he uses whenever he comes up with his latest schemes. Nobody really knows where his intelligence comes from, making it one of the greatest mysteries about him.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Samryn is the greatest criminal mastermind Ayrath has ever seen. He is able to predict how things will go so incredibly accurately that not only has he never been caught, not a single plot of his has gone south. The only reason it's known what plots were his is because he leaves a calling card- a custom copper piece with the symbol of unity on it. He is rumored to have billions in gold stored away somewhere, although nobody has ever seen this treasure for themselves so that is unconfirmed. Many people have worked with Samryn in the past, however they are all so incredibly loyal to him that they have revealed nothing about him, even when threatened with life custory. Samryn has managed to entirely evade the law, making him a legend across Ayrath. Until his premature passing, that is.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Samryn's greatest motivation is wealth. It's believed that he grew up on the streets with nothings, and so he wants to be able to have everything he wanted as a child, no matter the cost. There are rumors that he gives some of his wealth out to children who live on the street like he supposedly once did, but these rumors have no credibility.

Representation & Legacy

Samryn left behind a legacy of success, even in a field that is looked down upon by the world. Everyone in the criminal underworld desires to reach his levels of success, since he was absolutely, undoubtedly the best. Nobody has ever been near his level of success and fame (or, rather, infamy), and it is likely that nobody ever will be again.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Samryn's greatest known ally was the goblin Lerkyl, who was always by his side as his right man. Lerkyl is now known to tend to Samryn's Manor, still unwilling to move on from everything he helped his friend build.

Wealth & Financial state

While it is unknown what background Samryn truly comes from, he has become one of the wealthiest people in all of Ayrath, continuing to expand that wealth exponentially up until his premature passing.

Harbor Town & The Forestfolk

Samryn isn't just a criminal mastermind- he's also a peacemaker. When he first arrived on Desolai Island, in search of a place he could hide out between his missions, he took an interest in the conflict between the two people groups there- the people of Harbor Town and the Forestfolk. After only a short time there, he proposed a compromise in an attempt to create peace: The borders of Harbor Town would not expand beyond the end of the peninsula it was built on (with the exception of Fort Harbor, which would not be allowed to expand further), and the rest of the natural environment of Desolai Island would be left untouched and be considered the property of the Forestfolk. It was also negotiated that Harbor Town would help with the reforistation of teh Southern end of the island. Since, peace has existed between the two groups- and Samryn even managed to convince them to let the land his manor existed on belong to him rather than one of the two groups as well.
