Eldor Pinedale
Eldor Pinedale was an elven explorer and mapmaker. He was known to wander the lands of Ayrath in the early days of discovery, and is credited with making the first map of all of Ayrath. He is also credited with discovering The City In The Desert (although city records show they had been visited by outsiders previously) and coined the name Littlewood Cluster (although at the time it was called the Little Woods Cluster, named that for being the "woods of the little people.") His legacy has grown complicated, however, as people have become aware of his problematic beliefs of Elvish superiority over other anthroests and his poor treatment of the people of the forest (who were more common at the time). He is believed to have died on an expedition West, leading many to believe he was killed by a tribe of Orcs that lived in the wastes.
