The Four Pillars
The four pillars are the gods of the season, each with their own distinct attributes and responsibilities in their celestial lives. They are a bit like the Greek Gods in that they are more fallible and “human” than the ancient Nameless God and they take much more of an interest in the daily lives of the Ayla people. They are known to be curious and largely friendly, luck and happenstance are often attributed to their meddling. This religion was not actually original to the Ayla people, they were converted a few thousand years ago by their partners in the uprising that has mostly been forgotten. They are sometimes worshiped together as Kynrelǐskden, a unified god of four aspects, though this tends to be frowned upon because of association with the Two-Faced God.
