Waterflask
Archivist's Excerpt from: Trinkets, Tech, & Tinkery: A Comprehensive Inventory of All Possible Equipment One Might Need When Circumnavigating the World, Inside & Out, Tabletop Edition, CVI 42.5
Waterflasks are carried by the Galó tribe in Jalóheim in The Expanse, as since the drying of the Yedak River, water has become a precious commodity, and their primary wells are nearly dry. One could point out that the river isn't completely empty, as even Orphan Heights manages to do okay with many times their population, and they're downriver of Jalóheim, but oh well. Each flask is inscribed with the name of its owner and may be filled only at certain times per day.
Theft of water is taken very, very seriously among the Galó. A single offence leaves one permanently scarred with a burn mark on their wrist indicating their sin against the clan, while a second means exile without the possibility of return, with the caveat that they actually can return, if their return comes with a particularly impressive boon for the clan as a whole.
Apparently, thievery within a culture of thieves is going too far...
