Prayer Tag

Archivist's Excerpt from: Alone in the Cold: The Story of Orphan Towne, its Strange History, & its Stranger Occupants, CVI 42.4

One of the curious little traditions of Jalós Zealotry is the existence of Prayer Tags, little wooden slates hung with blue string that the citizens of Jalóheim would carve with the prayers that weight heaviest on their hearts and souls. These, they would hang in their windows. The idea is something like this: that Ilós would bless their devotion as the god-who-is-many exists, for the Galó, in the atmospheric phenomena of The Expanse. Ilós, they believe, "caressed the prayers of the faithful in the coursing winds," and so knows their humble wishes.
