Bindporter
Archivist's Excerpt from: Heuridium’s Height: Secret Inventions & Industrial Developments of the Grand Academy of Science’s Hypothetical Division of Possibilities, Nonexistent Edition, CVI 42.4
A Bindporter is quite probably the oddest little gadget in all of Terior, and that's saying something, if you think about it. Based on principles of quantum entanglement--whatever in blazes that means--Bindportation occurs when the device is first separated into its two halves, a sender and receiver. The receiver is left wherever the subject or object will be ported to, and regardless of apparent location or distance, when a simple trigger on the sender is operated, any person or object within an approximate two-meter sphere is "ported" to the receiver.
It should be noted that bindporters can only, apparently, be used ones with any hope of stability. A second use has a habit of ... obliterating its occupants.
Perhaps a warning label is in order.
