Realm of Bridia
The following is selected information from the files of the Skywatcher Institute and is believed to be the most important information about the realm.
Realm name: Bridia
Aurora colors: Faint blue, growing darker in color as the Conjunction progresses. This makes it challenging to notice at times due to the tendency to blend into the color of the sky.
Occurrence: every 875 days
Duration of Conjunction: 22 days
Realm terrain: Almost entirely oceanic, rating it extremely dangerous to be Plucked into.
Realm climate: Warm and extremely humid.
Species present: Many types of fish and aquatic creatures, as well as many types of coral and sea plants. (A list of species names and the Realmwalkers who studied them, and where to find those original notes, takes up several pages here.)
Species believed to have originated in Bridia:
- Merefolk - a similar-looking species inhabits most of the realm in underwater cities
- Bridia Nettles - a type of nettle that looks like a common nettle species except during the Bridia Conjunction. During that time, tiny blue flowers bloom all over the plant, which can be used for magical and medicinal purposes. It only grows near bodies of water.
Potential Commercial Materials*
- Bridia Crystals - Seem to be created by the crystallization of corals in the seas of the realm. Studies indicate the crystals are useful in conducting various types of energy. They come in several colors and patterns, and small chips can be used in jewelry.
- Deep Hemp - The stringy fibers of the tree-like seaweed stalks are useful in making rope and similar materials.
