Ferhenz, God of Craftsmen

(fair • hen • z)
A force for the birthing of great beauty no matter the destruction required, Ferhenz is the embodiment of an artist driven by obsession. He sees the Auroraverse as a canvas, every soul as raw material, and every tragedy as a brushstroke contributing to a greater masterpiece. To Ferhenz, perfection is worth any price—a fallen city, a shattered soul, a heart consumed by madness—if it leads to a work that can transcend time and pierce the hearts of all who witness it.   His creations, whether weapons of divine power or works of breathtaking artistry, are testaments to his unyielding vision. Ferhenz does not seek approval or understanding; his purpose is singular—to craft something greater than his last creation. Those who worship him understand that his blessings may come at a steep cost, but the splendor they’ll produce is unparalleled.

Origin

Ferhenz is one of the two Creator Gods whose origin defies precise record, said to have emerged sometime between the second and third generations of the Gods. Ferhenz embodies the duality of creation—the raw, untamed force that can both build and destroy, as well as the intense passion that drives mortals to create.   His forge is a realm of endless sparks and roaring flames, where masterpieces are born from relentless effort and daring innovation. Ferhenz has crafted some of the most iconic weapons in the Auroraverse, wielded by Gods and mortals alike, and it is said that the first hammer strike of every aspiring craftsman echoes from his anvil. What drives him to further creation though, is his quest to forge a Divine Relic without the essence of a God to birth it, a feat that would stand as a testament to the power of creation itself.

He symbolizes forging, metallurgy, and all forms of creation and as such is idolized by those who pursue those crafts. His followers are often the first to discover how to forge various metals, ranging from copper to steel, with the introduction of iron coming directly from Ferhenz's divine forge-fires.

Tenants

Embrace Passion: Just like Ferhenz, his followers must never allow their passion to be hindered.

Labor over Creation: A proper craft is birthed by creativity but it is hard work that turns a thought into something beautiful.

Don’t Fear Destruction: Sometimes a craft doesn’t work out perfectly, a follower of Ferhenz must not be afraid to destroy the old so the new can flow.

Relationships

Ferhenz has few strong relationships with his fellow gods, considering most of them arrogant ingrates. His infrequent though memorable bouts of destructive fury have earned him more ill will than he realizes.
  • Maluzu: Long ago, in a bout of inspiration, Ferhenz razed a temple located in the Plane of Order, unknown to him within the temple lay a secret coveted by Maluzu God of Secrets. Irritated by its destruction, Maluzu stripped him of his Title as a punishment, though it was later returned at the request of Geryu.
  • Geryu: After Maluzu punished Ferhenz it was Geryu who convinced him to return Ferhenz’s Title. Ever since he has considered her to be his one and only friend amongst the Gods.
