Temporal Beginning
The Temporal Beginning (often shortened to T.B.) is the date at which time in Aureole began to be tracked and recorded.
Time before the Temporal Beginning is known as The Unfazed Time (often shortened to U.T).
The current time by Crown Territory standard is 5998 ATB (After Temporal Beginning), meaning 5998 years have passed since the Temporal Beginning. If a scholar wanted to note time before The Temporal Beginning, in Unfazed Time, it would be formatted as so: n BTB (n time Before Temporal Beginning) OR n IUT (n time Into Unfazed Time).
It is important to remember that the larger the number of ring/gap cycles have passed BTB, the further back it is. That is to say, a larger number of ring cycles measured in IUT, the further into ancient history that event is.
A gap or ring cycle is the time it takes for the gap to pass over once around the planet.
One year in Aureole is equal to 100 ring cycles, 10 months, each split into 10 gap cycles.
1 Ring Cycle is roughly equal to 4 Earth Day-Night Cycles, and 1 Aureole year is exactly 100 Ring Cycles Long, so 400 Earth Day-Night Cycles.
