Zartkik Culture

In the northern Orean Sands there are a number of nomadic clans that share a common culture. This culture values the practice and study of Abjuration spells very highly. The culture is named for Salar Zartkik, an Orc Abjurer of the first age. Since then his descendants and allies around them have further expanded the study of abjuration magic. Pushing its limits far beyond what any other group has achieved. Most members of these clans learn at least some abjuration magic. This gives them the ability to protect themselves from the hostile environment in the desert they call home.   Among these clans there are Orc, Goblin, Dragonborn and Desert Elf groups. Each clan has their unique take and specialization on abjuration magic that distinguishes them from the others. They fiercly protect this shared heritage against outsiders and almost never share their knowlegde with anyone outside of their respective clans. All of the clans inhabit the domain of Otarkshedar, the Wise and Merciful and pay tribute to him.
