Afon

Afon is a small fishing village along the edge of a river. With a population hardly above 100, the village is marked on few maps, and generally, those are of the surrounding area.   Most of the year, the river moves leisurely and is abundant with fish, as Afon is one of the last warm holds at the base of a large mountain where the river begins. During the summer, the river is not calm. Its water is violent with rapids and, should one attempt to engage the river in a vessel, they would be lucky if they only were to capsize.
The demonic chickens' screams are always a shock to the system in the morning. With nothing more than a yawn, I am out of bed and on my feet--I try my best to get up before my featherless friends, but every day is the same: when the chickens crow, I shoot forward out of bed.   Nextdoor my neighbors are already up and going about their chores.   We are a small community here in Afon, and we must do our best to make anything that we need. Carriages are few and far between with those selling goods coming only in a blue moon.

Demographics

Most of the Afonians found themselves here as one of the generational families, however, some found the place on their travels and found they could not stop thinking about the marvelous serenity along the shore that they were able to experience while passing through.   Even including those who return later, the Afonians are farmers first and foremost.

Government

The Afonian government is made up of a council selected via votes every three years.

Infrastructure

In Afon, the roads are hard-packed dirt paths with wheel divots worn through use and time. One can almost track the expansion of the town by how deep the rutts have been worn.
