Yara (jɑːraː)

Yara (Old Common: ჂႠႰႠ; Runic: ᛃᚨᚱᚨ; Khem: Γαρα) is the element of Air and the goddess of the Sky, Travel and Luck.

Epithets

As the words carry the word of Yara across the continent. Different ears have made different interpretations. With no emphasis on her main domain, several different epithets were unknowingly created.

Yara Sora

Yara Sora is the epithet of the sky domain. Her followers are mostly skyfarers and she is a mix between the travel and the storm epithets. The follow her for the constant wind under their wings and the power of the storm when battle breaks out. Their faith isn't communion based, but is honoured individually high in the sky.

Yara Toraberu

Yara Toraberu is the epithet of the travel domain. They honor her for well travel and having the wind in their backs. By the actions of her followers, Yara became the patron of Travellers and Nomads. They contrary to popular belief don't carry portable shrines, but construct then everywhere they go. They built simple outdoor shrine where they hold their communion.

Yara Arashi

Yara Arashi is the patron of the Storm domain. Her might comes from the power of the hard winds. Her followers are the aggressive warriors found likewise under other deities. Yet they don't see her as their patron, but as their protector. Once they enter danger they harness the power of the storm at summon hard and fast wind right at their opponents. In big open planes they built shrines out of stone and see it's erosion as they power of their deity.

Yara Koun

Yara Koun is the epithet of Luck. She is the patron of the gamblers and adrenaline seekers. She never shies away from a gamble were the odds are against her, but most of the time she is well calculated. Her followers believe that in a sea of gambles, she'll turn the tides in their favour.

Temple of the Skies

The Temple of the Skies is a temple built on the highest peaks of the Scarred Mountains. The combination of the undegroudn living quarters and the openn temples makes for a confined, but expansive tempel complex. Skyfarers flock here to expierence the skies and its power and groundhoggers can travel here to lern to fly on a kite.
