Deepspire Hollow

The Deepspire Hollow is a subterranean zone deep beneath Tradara-Read, specifically the Paridien Ward. It originated as a large open cave, from which early miners extracted a variety of minerals. As the city of Paridien grew, new tunnels were built to access the Hollow, with deep shafts soon allowing easy access. Though officially, the Hollow was never populated, it has been widely speculated that early Solarists would exile unfavourable members of their communities to the Hollow, where a small population was able to survive.   The Hollow has long since been sealed, both legally and physically, though its existence has never faded from memory. Rumours abound about the dark, twisted things that are performed deep below the feet of Paradien. Some propose government intervention, while others suggest the Ecclesia Solaris Church. While others yet argue it is these organisations that continue such dark actions, in the deep tunnels beneath the city.   Whatever the case, the Department of Urban Preservation has always been clear on the matter. The Deepspire Hollow is not to be entered under any circumstances, under the penalty of prosecution, or worse.
