For five millennia humanity has come to dominate the Galaxy of Astraesto, yet never was there a planet so conquered as Envis, never was a human city large enough to encapsulate the planet itself. Search the endless streets of that ecumenopolis and you will find only victory, not over any mortal foe, but victory over Mother Nature herself. It should scare you, for what other foe could prove more capable then the unrelenting tides of our natural world?
The Planetary City of Envis, colloquially and even officially known by its nickname Envien, is a massive Supercity that spans the vast majority of the world Envis, which is widely recognised as the de-facto capital of the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets, the current Galactic Hegemon. The city and planet are known as the political, scientific, economic, and cultural capital of the entire Galaxy of Astraesto.
The ecumenopolis that would become Envien was a long envisioned megaproject of successive Federation Federal Governments throughout the latter centuries of the 4th millennium. Envis was already an incredibly urbanised planet, stretched across six major cities, with a mammoth shipping industry capable of sustaining it economically, pinning it as a perfect choice. Despite the ideal conditions, it wouldn't be until 4116AC, during the Federation-Apreasean Cold War, that the Encasing of Envis would begin, as Envis competed with Waverli to become the first ecumenopolis in the Galaxy. Less than 50 years later in 4164AC, the encasing was considered complete, and Envien became the first planet spanning city ever built by Humanity.
Planetary Districts of Envien
Envien is famously seperated into five Planetary Districts, the five megacities that originally combined to form the ecumenopolis. Since the Encasing of Envis, each district has found an area of specialisation, allowing for the continued domiance of Envien over other planets in the Galaxy.

Shipbuilding & Industry
The Glaskar District is best described as the industrial heartland of Envien. It is from Glaskar that multiple interplanetary companies, most notably Envis Galactic Shipyards construct space-faring vessels.
Despite being the largest of Envien's Planetary Districts, Glaskar has the smallest population, and many areas are considered incapable of sustaining human life.
Meakar
Commercial & Trading Heart
The beating heart, the epicentre. From Meakar galactic trade is organised and led. High towering marketplaces fill the district, and every major stock exchange and bank is either headquartered within Meakar, or has a substantial presence within the grand district. Never has the old adage, 'Too big to fail' rang more true.
The District of Meakar is the centre of all galactic trade. Most notably, it houses the Federal Stock Exchange, and the Central Envien Exchange, which combine for over half of all galactic stock trading.
The 2nd largest of the Districts, Meakar is also notable as the original landing point for the New Terran Republic explorers and settlers, placing it as the oldest Envis city. Its early colonisation also allowed a level of dominance over the other sporadic cities that began to grow during the 1st millennium, with Meakar positioned as the Planetary Capital of Envis for over 3000 years. It wouldn't be until the 1st Federation Civil War, and the subsequent Andisien victory, that efforts were made to move planetary government affairs to the City of Tradara alongside the Federal Government.
