Notes on Player Character Creation
It would be amazing if you could focus on the following key points for your own character creation:
- First focus on your own race/class/tool proficiency as you'd normally do. I'm thinking that starting at level 3 makes the most sense, as you'll have some more survivability and spells to work with.
- Think of your character's backstory. Where did they grow up? Do they have family/friends and are they still alive? If yes, where do they live and what is their job? Does your character have any weaknesses or phobias? Are there any significant events in their life? How does your character view the world? How did they end up in their current class? And finally, is there an objective that your character wants to accomplish in the future. I can assist with this process as you please, so that we can best incorporate your backstory, hometown, and aims into the campaign. If you're able to come up with a backstory/objective, then you can start with an additional magic item with a minor benefit (can be homebrew). We can make it so that this item becomes stronger as you make progress in your aim, as described in Player Character-Specific Equipment.
- Finally, the campaign will start in the Temple located in the centre of Azmarin on an early morning. So it would be amazing if you could think of a reason why your character would be in the temple.
