Oposs

The island continent of Oposs; a warm place filled with dense jungles, home to many strange creatures and plants.

The continent consists of two major, and various minor islands.

Raw and fermented foods are staples of the Opossian kitchen. Their shorelines are rich in fish, and their jungles rich in fowl. Beastfolk resemble mammalian carnivores, so their diet is also very heavily meat-based. Soups are also very common, and used to be the most common type of "drink" until tea came around. Alcohol is quite toxic to Beastrace, to the degree that a single glass of wine would knock them out.

Some type of soup or stew would probably work best. Maybe a curry since it's heavy in spices and fat? Or dumplings made from leaves instead of dough?

There's no real united form of government in Oposs. Cities are run by clans and would have laws against hurting, killing, or stealing. But other than that, laws would vary from place to place and belief to belief.

Punishments from breaking the law would be seen as harsh in the rest of the world. They are relative to how much you hurt the victim. Did you steal from a rich person? Maybe you lose a finger. Steal from a poor person? Death sentence.
