King Gilven the Founder
King Gilven the Founder was the first King of The Kingdom of Tyvald. He is said to have sworn an Oath of Devotion to the Human Automaths Numenos and Kator in which he swore to serve them by leading the Human people south across the Tychi Sea to the lands of the Sundered Ring, the Vanguard of the Awakened on Yorth. There, he founded the first Awakened settlement beyond the Cradle, Niested, before leading more of his people south until he found a great harbor, on which he proclaimed the capital city, Vyberg, of the first Human kingdom, The Kingdom of Tyvald.
Gilven's deep and profound faith in Numenos and Kator was unquestioned, especially given his successful campaigns against the heathen Beastfolk who inhabited those shores. The nascent Church of the Sun and Moon declared Gilven to be King by divine right, as he was inarguably the chosen of the Human Automaths.
After establishing the capital at Vyberg, Gilven officially sanctioned the priests who had empowered him as the first Rectors of The Church of the Sun and Moon, and granted titles of nobility and lands to his most trusted lieutenants in the Beastfolk Wars and his southward expansion along the coast, which established the great noble houses of The Kingdom of Tyvald as well as the feudal system which remains remains. The dynasty established by Gilven lasted for generations, and although the Kingdom has seen several dynasties and periods of rule by other entities, all Tyvaldic monarchs trace their lineage back to Gilven.
