Greindur

Greindur is one of the six Giant Automaths responsible for descending from the Towering Fortress and Awakening the Giants on the First Day. She represents the Cloud Giants, and is second from the top of The Ordning.   Greindur played two key roles on the First Day. While Lotning was carving the new GIants from Yorth's stone and Isinn was heating up her forge, Greindur used her mastery over magick to transform herself into a wisp of cloud, flying far above The Cradle and beyond the Thychi Sea, returning before Lotning had even finished her work. She told the other Giant Automaths of the vastness of Yorth, of the highest peaks of the Cloudscraper Mountains, and the bottomless depths of the Endless Ocean. Finally, she told them of the great Dragons to the west, the most powerful creatures on Yorth, and the only true rival for the Giants' strength and power.   After Isinn had finished tempering the newly carved Giants in her kiln-fires, Greindur used her magic to call storms overhead, which gathered above the carven forms of the Giants. The clouds bristled and roiled with the power of Yorth. From these clouds, Odrepan, king of the Giant Automaths and most powerful of them all, brought down lightning, which brought life into the bodies of the Giants and left them in a slumber until the gong of Threk was sounded.   After Threk's rampage and Odrepan's strolls among the other Awakened brought news of them back to the rest of the Giant Automaths, Greindur donned her finest clothing and jewelry to go walk among the Awakened so that they might see the civility and grandeur of the Giants and be stricken with jealousy and awe.   Greindur is depicted as a fine-featured Cloud Giant woman of pale purple skin and silver hair, dressed in flowing silk robes and donning huge jewels set in fine metal jewelry. She is respected by all Giants for her cunning and mastery over magic, as well as her fine taste in luxurious items.   Priests and clerics of Greindur practice the domains of Knowledge, Arcana, and Trickery.
