Edun
Edun is a continent on Phoebe home to both Jourdan and Ibeadour. A collection of islands, it covers the most surface area of Phoebe and is home to the Cartal.
Geography
Edun is predominantly islands, collected together by a common bedrock underneath. It is theorized that Edun was once a single landmass with several foothills and mountains that sank with rising tides. Whatever the reason, the waters between the various islands is shallow enough that initially sea travel was virtually impossible between the islands. Unlike the rest of the world, the nations of Edun had advanced naval technologies to rival the odd conditions of Edun's waters.
The terrain of the islands themselves is much the same with temperate forests and farmlands sprinkled in between. The continent of Edun is somewhat central to the rotation of Phoebe and as such has a very mild climate with plentiful rainy seasons. The further south you go however the more likely it is that the islands will have sporadic desert biomes.
Fauna & Flora
The plants and animals are pretty homogenous throughout Edun as spread by the Cartal and the associated nations. For the most part the animal life of Edun is limited to game animals, farm animals and general pets common to other human worlds, likely brought with them from the homeworld. Most predators and pest animals have been otherwise eradicated to preserve the general aesthetic of Edun.
As of recent years scientists have discovered the remains of what appears to be the animal life native to Edun before it was hunted to extinction, though why it was eradicated and not utilized remains a mystery.
The same remains true for most plant life, though a certain type of wildflower native to Edun and Phoebe remains strong, a common weed that refuses to fade out of existence called the Rebels End.
Natural Resources
The natural resouces of Edun - such as wood, common earth metals, etc. - remain untapped, especially in Jourdan and Ibeadour by way of their taking from other nations. The one thing that remain and exclusive Edun export is Laurell hardwood furniture and the massive fish populations native to Edun's shallow waters.
