Alexandrite House

Ostensibly, Alexandrite House functions as a staging ground for adventurers, as it allows the Guild to mediate between the various interests now positioned on the island of Boton and eager adventurers who arrive at the Reach eager to make their mark. Because of the nature of the Reach, only Bronze adventuring groups and above are allowed to accept missions at the Guild.   In addition to its role as an extension of the Agnias AG, it can serve as a venue for dignitaries or other diplomatic envoys.

Created with a special material whose composition is only known to Agnias alchemists, the building is evocative of the Reach and reflects a different colour as the day passes;during the day it is a vivid blue-green emerald colour, while at night the lights that shine upon it cause it to display a ruby red hue instead.   The architecture is classical Agnias - extending into the sky with pronounced ceiling heights and an ornate facade, the double-wide steel doors of Alexandrite House both impose upon the viewer the riches and power that the AG possess. Within, it is no less luxurious, following in the model set by Chapter House in Mitra. The interior hall is shone down on from above by a special skylight which closes and generates its own light in the evening hours, guaranteeing that Alexandrite House remains open regardless of the hour.

Alexandrite House wasn't built in a day, but they certainly tried to do so.   With the combined resources of the AG's support staff and the Agnias military, Alexandrite House was built, furnished, and opened to the public in one month - a feat that the AG's Guild Clerks are sometimes eager to point out. Though the speed of construction was fast, no detail was left unchecked, and Alexandrite House continues to stand firm on its foundations.

Because of its proximity to the Reach, many an airship-borne tourist appears to simply admire the architecture and the multicoloured illuminated skies that lay just beyond. To accommodate paying tourists, a special viewing platform has been installed in the roof of Alexandrite House to allow them to view the opalescent sky unhindered.
