Hamlet

Transool

'Hamlets are the smallest of recognised settlements within the Kingdom with a maximum population of 28 permenant residents and no more than 19 buildings. Smaller settlements like farmsteads or major inns may not be recognised as a settlement due to having less than 5 residential buildings' - as decided in the Doomsday catalogue of 11.4400 (the 44th record).   Hamlets have almost no proper Fehadlan Watch presence or defences set up relying on a militia and a tightly woven community to fix problems that may occur. Many hamlets are located in areas where many small farming homesteads have congregated together to form a larger community or on busy roads. But due to limited defence, size and often remoteness they are a prime target for outlaw attacks and raids leading to a short lifespan for hamlets however some may thrive and prosper for centuries like Okon in the west of Elzai which has survived for 300 years after its founding.   Hamlets often develop quickly and die quickly with their remains littered all across Fehadla often being reused in other building projects. Hamlets are lead by a minor Eld and do not often have a noble presence. They are undoutbly the most numerous of settlements within Fehadla but are the ones least remembered and most easily lost.
