The Labyrinth
Somewhat hidden in the woods between St. Jerome’s and Florian’s house is a clearing with a strange circular maze of half-buried stones in the ground. The wear and moss on the tops of them indicate they’ve been there a long time, but lately, the stones seem to be rising, with a line demarcating where they were buried before.
Time passes strangely inside the labyrinth, and it has been a recurring scene for José’s nightmares, where he has seen the black, horned figure lurking and waiting, pursuing him and trapping him inside.
