Holly Eggnog Tavern, Coffeehouse and Restaurant
The Holly Eggnog is a elf-owned Christmas-themed tavern/coffeehouse in Santa's Toy Workshop Compound and the Elfin Village Area, Center of Christmas Spirit and Magic City. It's extremely popular with elves 364 days of the year! It first began life on a lesser-known street (Derek Ave.) that's not lesser-known anymore. After expanding that location, the family (unknown but thought to be the children of Hermie and Polley Ellenor) opened another shop on Chris Rd.
The address of the original location is 1470 Derek Ave and the other is 2800 Chris Rd.
Upon the return of the old compound, the entire community begged the owners for them to make one there as well. Hearing loud and clear, the owners installed one there. All three are busy and often are called the community centers of the valley.
Elves, including Christmas and Claus Elves, do not drink alcohol (no beer, wine, whiskey, or anything else). Anything they serve is non-alcoholic. They naturally avoid it and therefore have none in the Valley. For parties, they usually use Mrs. C's special drink, eggnog made mystically and from magical ingredients.
The elf-owned Christmas-themed tavern/coffeehouse/restaurant was established in 1700 as a small eatery away from the busyness of Elfin Village Area and the Christmas Town Central District. Known then as a quiet and relaxing place for conversation and enjoyment, the customers were few but regulars. Busier nights were only because people brought friends
who didn't know about it.
Slowly, word of mouth spread to many ears and eyes and those people flocked to this place creating more business.
You probably know that Christmas Elves do not use currency. What usually happens is that Elves, esp. Christmas Elves trade goods or services for work. Most of this happens between January-April or it used to prior to magic returning but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
The management closed down the third floor while it underwent construction, increasing the highest floor to six. Many formed a crew with some even coming and coming at different times depending on whether they were needed or not.
Years passed. A Grand-Reopening was held in 1730. A Hot Chocolate toast was given to the crew and the patrons who started this quest of putting it on the map.
The owners, though unknown, began looking in 1740 at other areas to develop another location of the now-chain of Christmas-themed taverns/coffeehouses/restaurants could be built. They chose a suitable undeveloped area to build a bigger place and six floors.
This second location opened in 1760.
The third location was built. It opened in 2025.
The Holly Eggnog is a three-story tavern in Christmas Valley. Outside, it looks like every other building except it has two doors. One for Christmas Elves and another for humanoids.
