Missions/Quests Completed
The party began the heist by talking to a sergeant of the city guard who was supposed to be on patrol around the museum. Chelsea and Lannsverg successfully intimidated him into paying a little less attention to the museum that night and so the party's plan began to unfold.
They split into two groups, with Melvin sneaking through a window on his own and the rest walking past the guards in their university disguises. Having convinced the museum staff they were coming to prepare the tablet for transportation the day before, they were let in with little fuss and Melvin successfully snuck through the back. They all reconvened by the tablet.
The artifact was protected by a few strong spells, but the adventurers managed to dispel all of them and then split up again, with Melvin sneaking back out the way he came. As most of the party walked down the main stairwell, happy and confident, Melvin managed to trip and fall in the back hallway causing a massive ruckus. The rest of the thieves quickly calmed the museum staff down and Melvin continued his sneaking but fell again, this time knocking over a janitor. He managed to react faster than the poor janitor and silenced him for good. All seemed to be going well but luck was not on the budding necromancer's side and he tripped and fell again, this time landing face-first before a group of museum staff.
A fight broke out, with Melvin and Maple taking on the museum's guards, while the rest of the party managed to keep their disguises intact and ran off in the commotion. Melvin and Maple fought their way through the guards and also ran, not having to worry about the town guard due to their preparation.
En route to the Tosscobble's boat meant to sneak them out of the city, the trio of Chelsea, Lannsverg, and Dolmir stopped to have a conversation. Dolmir was carrying the tablet and Chelsea saw this as his opportunity. He used magic to charm Lannsverg and send him on to the boat. Then he used his natural powers of persuasion on the gullible Dwarf, convincing him to run off with the tablet together. And so they did.
The rest of the party reconvened at the Tosscobble's boat. They waited for Dolmir and Chelsea, but in vain. They had to run away as the alarm had already been sounded and the guards were looking for them.
