Session XIV

General Summary

The party arrives in Baymore and begins laying the foundations of their next escapade.

Missions/Quests Completed

While the rest of the party had been traveling through the mountains, Zaradis busied himself with planning the heist of the tablet. He assembled a group of students and criminals to assist him. He contacted the University's head custodian - Professor Isaac Battyl and made a deal to store some of his wine in the vault, but was unable to gauge the location of the tablet from him. Disguised as an elderly elf, he used the group of students and criminals to try breaking through the Universities magical defences and to find the tablet, but to no avail. He had nearly given up but then the University's Rector revealed something at the New Year's Eve procession.
The Rector made the tablet public knowledge and announced it was to be displayed in the Baymore Museum for a week before being returned to the University for further study. The rest of the party had just arrived in the city and heard the speech as well. They decided to scout out the building.
The Museum is a large building with two floors and a glass dome on the roof. There are three exhibitions, the permanent exhibition detailing the history of Baymore and house Heywood, a new exhibition about dragons and their way of life with a full-sized skeleton of an adolescent dragon also on display, and the Dwarven history exhibition also housing the tablet.
The party snuck around the museum for a bit and antagonised the night guards but then decided to reconvene at the house of the dwarven merchant, Thalobir, their contact. They discussed plans with him but failed to reach any meaningful conclusion. They decided to sleep on it and continue their reconnaissance in the morning.
