Kernev Plateau
A landmass between the Meneziou Du and the Pleg-mor Gwaskogn in the Penn-Ar-Bed
Geography
The Kernev Plateau is a granite landmass located on the Southwest coast of the Armorican Peninsula. It is located to the South of the Meneziou Du and North of the Pleg-mor Gwaskogn. The Laeta River marks the border between the Kernev Plateau and the Landes be Lanvaux.
In the west, the Plateau extends into the sea along a narrow peninsula, Kab Sizun. To the North the Peninsula is bordered by Douarnenez Bay and to the South, Gwaien Bay.
While the landmass is often considered synonymous with the Kontelezh Kernev, only a portion of its vassal states are actually part of it, the rest being mountainous territories in the Meneziou Du. The Lordship of Kab Sizun and the Barony of Penn-Sardin extend along the Douarnenez Bay, while the Barony of Bigouden to the South follows Gwaien Bay.
The Odet River cuts between the Viscounty of Glazig and the Viscounty of Aven, the largest regions of Kernev, located between the Pleg-mor Gwaskogn and the Meneziou Du. The Aven River is located within the Viscounty sharing its name.
Tourism
The plateau is largely traversed along the old kingdom road leading from Barrad-Faout to Gwened. The road, underground from the Storm Citadel to the shores of Douarnenez Bay passes through Kemper and Kemperle, where it crosses the Laeta river into the County of Gwened.
