Serg Niall

Friend of Ren Jorik's from the war. Serg Niall, known as the ‘game master,’ was a friend of Ren Jorik from their time in the war. At Jorik's Rest, Serg was often seen running card games, but he always appeared tense, frequently scanning the room with furtive glances. His apprehension was justified, as he was under constant threat from the Regiment and the Watch, who suspected him of having affiliations with the Circle and frequently threatened his family's safety to extract information from him. The party witnessed a particularly tense confrontation where Serg was cornered by Regiment and Watch members, who brutally interrogated him. Despite his fear, Serg managed to hold back most of what he knew, though he did admit to hearing whispers of meetings. His plight escalated when Inquisitor Ilarik took control of his mind, using Serg to deliver a chilling ultimatum to the group, demonstrating Ilarik's formidable mental powers. Tragically, Serg was forced to slit his own throat under Ilarik's control, leaving Ren Jorik deeply troubled by the loss of his friend and the extent of Ilarik’s reach and power.
