Evelia Sarnovik was a resilient woman in her mid-40s, hardened by years of working as a small-time wine merchant in Sevgorod. She traveled with her three children—Danyar Saronovik (16), Lirina (11), and Varke Jr. (8)—after the brutal loss of her husband, Varke, during a savage attack by an Aberration. Despite the horror of her circumstances, Evelia refused to give up hope, clinging to the belief that her husband might still be alive. Her unyielding sense of duty to her children and her determination to keep them safe defined her, even as the dangers of the wilderness and the trauma of the attack weighed heavily on her.
Evelia was pragmatic and fiercely protective, with a quiet strength born of hardship. Though deeply shaken, she maintained her composure, shielding her children from the depths of her fear. Her interactions with the party were cautious at first, but desperation pushed her to trust them, as they were her last hope of surviving the relentless threats surrounding them.
Tragically, Evelia's hope and endurance were not enough to save her from the Crown’s brutal Purge. She and her children perished in the immolation of Krezko, as Inquisitor Ilarik's soldiers razed the village, demanding the surrender of witches and rebels. Her death, along with so many others, marked a devastating end to her struggle for survival, leaving her eldest son Danyar orphaned in the wake of the Crown's cruelty.
