Lo Comotivo

The Lo Comotivo is a new prototype vehicle that is being developed and tested, with only one existing, running from Grenagem to Oleo. It transports people and goods between the two cities at speeds even greater than the airships, thanks to their new propulsion system. Lo Comotivo itself runs on tracks that were laid over the past few years in preparation, and the actual vehicle was only built a few months ago. The vehicle is set up in a long tunnel that runs between the two cities, and the propulsion system is lit, creating a prolonged explosion that launches it down the tunnel, like a cannon. The explosion itself is calculated so that the trip slows down once it gets closer to Oleo, using lodestones to stop it gently, and then repeated back towards Grenagem after it is unloaded and reloaded. It now makes trips several times a day between the two cities, which take about a half hour to go from one to the other.   The train itself took some time to get to where it is today, the first few trips resulted in either measly puffs of steam and barely any movement, or massive explosions that killed a few engineers and a few meters of movement. It took years to develop the propulsion system, and even in its current state it is unfinished, but functional enough to work, so it was implemented. No passengers have died as a direct result of the train, however a few report blacking out during the initial acceleration. Regardless, it functions without any issues.
