Marcelin Bellencour

Marcelin was not particularly strong, but was in good shape.

Marcelin Bellencour was the only son of his father Docelin, but he was born a twin alongside his sister Melianda , and got another sister, Elisabel three years later. Marcelin was trained to inherit his father's business and was taught harshly by him. Docelin was a very harsh and aggressive father, who would often physically punish his son if he stepped out of line or failed to do as asked. He was not physically against his daughters or wife, but Marcelin's punishments would sometimes be enough for all of them. Because of his father, Marcelin became a strong and harsh person, but he also became quite emotionally halted when it came to his family except for his twin who he adored and tried to shield from his father's aggression. He would fail to do so, as in A4 620, Melianda would take her own life as their father had married her away to a Zarovyan noble who was 30 years older and had previously had two wives, both of which had ended up dead. Melianda couldn't handle the situation and would end up drowning herself.   Docelin would die when Marcelin was only 16 in A4 621. Docelin had gotten into an argument in court with the Vesiada family relating to new tax laws delegated by the Trugarian Empire upon the High Dukedom of Euderia. This argument was one which could not be settled in court with words and Sauvan Vesiada and Docelin would engage in a duel, overseen by the High Duke Aethon II Vyrion. The duel ended with both men dead, Docelin had killed Sauvan, but died due to his injuries five hours later. This forced Marcelin to take over as house head and get into court quickly. He would become antagonistic towards the Trugarian Empire, who he blamed for the death of his father, alongside the Vesiada family. He would become an outspoken, yet honest councilor to Aethon II, and respected by him because of it. He would serve loyally in his court until his death on the Sorrowful Return in A4 647.
