Saikon Empire

  • The far eastern civilisation with a landscape of vibrant and contrasting features.
  • The large country is home to mostly Humans and Elves, but all Allurian creatures and more exist here.
  • Their traditions vary a lot from Alluria's; Honour is the most important thing, followed by family
  • Supremely skilled and dedicated warriors and armies, all loyal to their clans who are in turn loyal to the Emperor.
  • Their written history only goes back around a millennia and a half in the Second Age, but it is a very colourful one at that.
  • They speak their own native language, Saihongo, instead of the Allurian Common tounge (called égo in Saiko)
  • Ruled by Emperor Nagina, who is often viewed as a mortal God.
  • The Emperor desires to bring peace and unification to the world.
  • After their pantheon was lost much worship fell to Nekrosei and Verana, eventually leading to a holy civil war due to the two having strong opposing views on Undead. The arrival of Twilt, Barrala and Merriish brought peace.

Currency

Saikonese money takes the form of stamped coins with a hole at their centre; these are often placed on a thread in groups of ten, separated from other groups with a simple knot. They come in standard copper, silver, gold and platinum. Saiko also produce special crystals known as Senkon, worth 1000gp each and thus far impossible to counterfeit. Many still use rice in bartering, a kilo bag being worth a single copper.   Allurian and Qalbian coins are also accepted tender.
