Deluge
the Resilient Town
Deluge is a small town on the southeastern side of Oberun's Isle, in Tobia's Gulf of Tinjir, on the major continent of Ethae. The town is situated at the mouth of a shallow water cove that not only gives it protection but also provides it with the only access to the sea on the otherwise cliff lined coast. The town is famous in legends, featuring in several of the most popular surviving tales of the Heroic Era. Its name is so connected to these ancient stories that many find it surprising to learn that it is a real town that can be visited.
The town has been built and destroyed many times over the ages, sometimes from natural disasters, other times from war. In the end the people always rebuild, even if its generations later. The Deluge of today is built on the foundations of Lakortha ruins, which have ancient ruins below them.
