Religious District
The Religious District is a district in Qarah's Dream. All manners of temples, to either specific gods or entire pantheons, can be found in this district. The laws of the city are very strict concerning religious freedom, limiting the amount of clashes that happen here; though, certainly, the Dreamcatchers are there for a reason.
Locations
- Siarvaldan Church: This elaborate temple, built from the most elegant mahogany available, is dedicated to the Siarvaldan pantheon. Any are welcome to pray here, and many private chambers are located throughout the building so that supplicants may pray to their chosen deity in peace. Statues of the gods (except the Betrayer and the Destroyer) are interspersed throughout the building.
- Dreamer's Clan: This intricately carved stone structure is dedicated to the Yasamaqi Pantheon. It is mostly comprised of a large, main hall, with the only light coming through the beautiful stained glass windows that represent the gods and their many deeds. It was designed to encourage many people to congregate there, pray, and mingle with each other - just like a clan.
- Beast-Blooded Sanctuaries: Although not a single location, those small places of worship share a name and a purpose: to allow the Beast-Blooded to worship their many gods, which often differ according to their race. As a result, they often contain many idols and/or shrines. The most popular are guarded to avoid any incidents, though those have grown rarer as of late.
- Assembled Monastery for Spiritual and Historical Knowledge: Seekers of lost knowledge and lore.
Notable people
- First Child Joan Dawneye, the human "high priest" of the Siarvaldan Church and effectively its leader. Known to be a kind but reserved person.
- Gwindeth of Qarah's Clan, the dwarven "high priest" of the Dreamer's Clan and effectively its leader. Known to be a stern person at first, but very quickly changes her tone once you get to know her.
