Descendants
Descendant is the name used to designate King Vah'dis's direct descendants. In common use, this term is sometimes used to refer to the Princes and Princesses that lead the various Principalities of the Kingdom of Vah'kan; however, this is inaccurate.
While all Princes and Princesses are Descendants, not all Descendants are Princes or Princesses. The former Princes or Princesses who have abdicated to their children (or died) are still referred to as Descendants, as are the children of Vah'dis' children that do not lead a Principality.
In short, Descendants are the noble class of the Kingdom of Vah'kan. According to Siarvaldan customs and traditions, it is considered of paramount importance to have a blood link to the King in order to be worthy of being nobility. Even though Descendants are free to adopt children, the blood is what truly matters in the eyes of many; such adopted children would never be considered true nobles.
