Derendor

The topographical region of Derendor is a large peninsula located in the south of Derendor. It borders Mittrellion to the north, being seperated by the Gundushad mountains, the bay of waytear to the east, and the emerald ocean to the west. The vast majority of it's domains are covered in searing deserts and scorching rock. The dry land is however pierced by several great rivers, which come from the Gundushads in the north or the Pyrenean plateau in the southwest of the country. A multitude of these are dry beds for most of the year, dependent on melting water in the spring and flash floods throughout the year. The area is split in two by the Turundi river, in which most of the waterways coming from the Gundushads drain. The Turundi is wide and provides fresh water to many of the Derendoran citizens, as well as the most fertile lands on the continent. Throughout its entire course, it serves as a breadbasket for not just Derendor, but for many people in southern Aimane.
