The Golthrin family have been the ruling family over the empire for 700 years.
Emporer Merleau has ruled since the age of 19 when his father passed of a virus. He was wed the following year to Diadre Titanfrost. After 10 glorious years togther gave brth to two boys five years apart.
First born is Tristan, he is popular, sporty and the epitome of a good role model and heir to a throne. His brother, Levithan, however is more of recluse, loves books and playing with tech.
Diadre did not have a good time with the second childbirth and passed a few bed ridden months later.
5 years ago on Tristans 18th birthday Merleau was bedridden by a nasty illness and Tristan was corronated that day. He was assiged an advizor from his mothers family, Astaria Titanfrost Ashbrooke, to guide him.
While his fathers health has only deteriated, Emporer Tristan has continued to bring industry and wealth to the empire. While Leviathan has been parading around with half bloods doing charitable acts but mostly keeping his nose clean. Levithan is to take charge of the forces of thr empire next year and is hoped the role gives him more structure and direction.
Announcements are now being made that the emporer has proposed to his Grand Vizier, in an un presidented turn of events a love connection. They are to be wed at the end of this years blood bowl.
History
After the 100 year war it was decided only a member of a pure human blood family would lead the human empire and maintain tge ownership and purity of these lands.
The same family has lead this empire ever since. Only marrying through arrangements with families selected for thier purist blood that can be traced back atleast 10 generations.
During the blood riots Emperor Harrofax fought his way to the front of the waging war and demanded the fighting stop. He risked his life to save lives on both sides and bargained with the agressive wild hooligans of the half bood rebellion to make the empire sfer and inclusive for all.
