Valoria
One half of the Valo-Nymerian Empire, Valoria is a prosperous coastal theocracy bordering Khaz Varrak to the east and Nymeria to the south.
While Emperor Iliathor oversees leadership of Valoria (and by extension, Nymeria), day-to-day governance is primarily handled by the Council of Seven, an anonymous collective instated by the Priesthood of Pelor. Both the Emperor and meetings of the council make their home in Angelreach, a grand palace in the nation's capital, Orthay.
Valoria's population is primarily human, although significant communities of elves, dwarves, halflings and tortles also live within its borders. The verdant Miritar Forest occupies roughly 60% of Valoria's landmass, contributing gnomes, fairies and other feyfolk to its population.
Among all races, none are shown greater reverence than aasimar. Considered by the Priesthood of Pelor to be living saints, all aasimar children born within the Empire are sent to the Solarium, an exclusive boarding school perched high in the Dawnspire Mountains. Here, they are molded into champions of the faith—paladins, clerics, and judges who would serve the Empire with unwavering loyalty.
By contrast, no race is viewed with as much revulsion as tieflings. Although it is no longer common practice to banish their kind, devout Pelor worshipers generally see tieflings as predisposed to acts of wickedness and anathema to their faith.
